You must ensure the standards of the Fair Play Code are applied by demonstrating the five core values that will lead to fair play for all:

In addition to adhering to the General Code of Conduct, you must meet the following expectations when participating in any activity under
Netball Victoria, or its affiliated Associations, Leagues/Clubs:

Play by the rules

Never argue with an official.

Junior competitions
-
only the team captain can approach the umpire to ask a question during the break.

If you disagree with the umpire you can go to the competition supervisor and request they attend your court to assist in the matter.

Senior competitions

No umpire wearing a green band (identifying aged 18U) is to be approached by a player / coach or otherwise during a game or in game intervals.

The team captain may approach a senior umpire to clarify a rule as per competition rules during the game intervals.

Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials, players or deliberately distracting or provoking another opponent is not acceptable or permitted.

Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse.

Be a good sport. Acknowledge all good plays and development opportunities for others.

Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit.

Cooperate with your coach, team mates and opponents.

Show respect for your team, officials and your opponents.

Always maintain a high standard of personal behaviour.

Recognise and respect the value and importance of volunteer committee members, officials, administrators and coaches. They give up their time and resources to provide recreational activities for players and deserve your support.

Comply with the Netball Australia Member Protection Policy.

Comply with the Netball Australia Child Safeguarding Policy.

Refrain from conduct that could be regarded as sexual or other harassment.

Display control, respect and professionalism to all involved with the sport. This includes opponents, coaches, officials, administrators, parents / spectators.

Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, sexuality, cultural background or religion.

We encourage feedback both positive and negative – players can submit feedback through the ‘How did we do today?’ form.
Breaches of this Code may constitute misconduct and could lead to disciplinary action.
MPNA’s codes of conduct are modelled off Netball Victoria’s codes and are updated to align with MPNA competitions as recommended by Netball Vic.
